Moonlit Mediterranean runaway girl

Sometimes when I am nearly snoozing, images pop into my head. Mostly I sketch them down and forget about them. But a couple of weeks ago an image popped in and was still there in the morning. This girl wanted me to draw her.

I gave it a go in Photoshop as it’s quick and fun. Photoshop also lets me experiment with palette in a way that I have been unable to satisfy myself with using watercolour or pastel or gouache or collage when working quickly (I get stuck mooning over why the colour in my head isn’t the colour I am looking at on the page).

I have been trying to NOT put all the colours I have on the page. Which is hard. Because that goes against everything I love in the world…but this girl helped me. It was moonlight. It was Mediterranean. And she was running…
